Primary teams vs secondary teams
We understand that you could be a part of multiple teams at work. For example, you're a part of your large functional team like Engineering. You may also be a part of smaller teams within the Engineering group, like Front End Eng. Or even smaller yet, Front End Engineering for a specific feature or product. Similarly, you may be a part of cross-functional teams that are transient per project. The possibilities are limitless and so Clockwise for Teams differentiates between these groups by denoting your primary team and your secondary teams. There can only be one primary team, all other teams that you're a part of will be regarded as secondary.
Primary Team
- There can only be one primary team
- Updates on teammates that are out of the office in your Clockwise feed, your week in review email, and Slack
- Updates on teammates that are low on Focus Time in your Clockwise feed and your week in review
- Team Analytics on Focus Time, meeting time, and fragmented time for your teammates
- Team availability calendar that automatically syncs your teammate's OOO and WFH events for one single source of truth on your teammates' availability
Secondary Teams
- There can be up to four secondary teams
- Team Analytics on Focus Time, meeting time and fragmented time for your teammates
- Team availability calendar that automatically syncs your teammates OOO and WFH events for one single source of truth on your teammates' availability
Which team should be my primary team?
Consider the features you'll enjoy on your primary team and decide which group of colleagues you'd like to stay most up to date about their availability and Focus Time bandwidth. If you think you made the wrong team your primary, don't worry! You can always change which team is your primary.
