Save time for lunch every day by automatically syncing a lunch hold to your calendar.
How it Works
When you enable your Lunch events, Clockwise will automatically create a calendar event that corresponds to your lunch preferences. These dynamic calendar events are updated in real-time as your calendar changes, so you can always have an up-to-date view of the time you have available for lunch.
Set up & Configuration
To enable your Lunch, go to the Focus Time, Lunch and Travel Time section of Settings, and switch the Lunch toggle on to "Automatically schedule lunch events on my calendar".
To access your Focus Time, Lunch, and Travel Time from settings:
- Chrome extension: Top left corner of your extension through the Menu button and click Settings
- Web App: Click on your profile avatar, select Menu from the drop-down, and click on Settings
To ensure the events appear when you intend to eat lunch, make sure that your lunch settings are up to date. Go to Settings, and select "Focus Time, Lunch and Travel Time" then customize your preferences.
Manually Update Lunch Holds:
Clockwise gives you the flexibility to manually update your lunch holds. If you need to make a manual update to your Lunch schedule, simply create a new event at your desired time. As long as this new event has the word "lunch" included in the title, Clockwise will recognize this as your lunch for the day.
Example use case:
-
You might need to manually update your lunch holds because your colleague scheduled a lunch meeting and its before/after your usual block
-
You might need to manually update your lunch hold because you are going out for lunch so the block is longer than usual
In the example below, you’ll notice a manual meeting was created on Tuesday called “Zoom Lunch”, Clockwise respected this lunch event and an automatic lunch event was not created.
