How to set up color coding

You can enable automatic color-coding right from your Clockwise during onboarding, or from Settings. Use the Clockwise default colors, or configure the colors you prefer from settings.

To access Event Coloring from settings:

  1. Navigate to your Preferences.
  2. Scroll down to "Event color-coding".
  3. Toggle on the setting for "Enable automatic meeting color-coding"

  4. Configure your colors for each category.

Once color coding is on, you can select which color you would like to associate to each category. Learn more about how categories work with Clockwise here.

How to disable event color coding

If you no longer want to use color coding in Clockwise, you can disable the automatic coloring in your settings:

  1. Navigate to your Preferences.
  2. Scroll down to "Event Color-coding"
  3. Toggle off "Enable automatic meeting color-coding"

Once you disable color coding, your event colors will be reset to the calendar default.

How Clockwise works with existing calendar colors

Clockwise will override any existing event colors that you created through Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.  However, Clockwise will only change an event's color if that event is in a category that has a color assigned to it. For example, if you manually color an event that is in the Ad-Hoc category blue, that event will stay blue if you do not assign a color to Ad-Hoc events.

If you remove the color-coding, all the colors will be reset to the calendar default.  The calendar will not revert to the previous manual color-coding.
